So Where To Today?

Ugly Side Up began in 2016 in Dominykas Bytautas’ studio apartment in Austin, TX and evolved into a 3-piece pop punk band. In 2018, Dominykas moved to Los Angeles and put the band back together again to play live shows. The group is a 90s rock band stuck in the 21st century, featuring fast, dancey songs about life’s glory and lack thereof. Ugly Side Up released their first EP called “Fool” in 2021, featuring the singles “Summer Comes & Summer Goes” and “A Broken Heart for Two”, the latter being nominated for Best Music Video Shot on a Cell Phone at the LA Music Video Awards. On July 22, 2022, the band released their second full length album titled “This is a Robbery”, featuring the singles “Wasted” and “This is How I Say Hello”. In 2023, they released the single “Magic Johnson” which receives regular airplay on Radio FM 88.5 The SoCal Sound. On June 20th, 2025, Ugly Side Up celebrated the release of their third full length album “Claim to Shame”, featuring singles “Tell Me That You Hate Me” and “I’ll Leave If You Want”.
