Alexis Lucena, a.k.a LEXXE, is a multidisciplinary artist from Long Island, New York. Starting with dance, she trained at the esteemed Seiskaya Ballet Academy in Stony Brook, leading her to receive a BFA in Dance Performance from the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance. Having studied French Horn for 9 years, music came naturally to LEXXE, and she started singing professionally in 2016. No stranger to the stage- along with playing gigs with her band, for the past three years LEXXE has been performing with COMPANY XIV in NYC. She most recently originated the leading role of Alice in their critically acclaimed show Queen Of Hearts. As well as new music in the upcoming months, look out for her as she makes her feature film debut as a dancer in the Warner Bros. screen adaption of In The Heights.
Her dance background and time on the stage has come together to influence her music and sound effortlessly, bringing authenticity to her work and challenging the traditional “pop-star” mold. Her debut EP “Meet Me In The Shadows” releases this fall.
