Who: Ethan Gander
Ethan Gander is a Filipino American artist based in the LA area. Ethan’s music is an eclectic combination of several musical influences, including Pop, Rock, R&B, Hip Hop, Outlaw Country, and Blues.
Ethan Gander’s musical journey began at the early age of four when his mother signed him up for piano lessons. Ethan’s mother immigrated from the Philippines to the US with the specific goal of raising a musical family. Growing up in poverty she always had a deep appreciation for music, but never had the means to learn for herself. It was his mother’s dream to provide her children with the musical resources and opportunities she didn’t have access to as a youth.
Her hopes and dreams were vindicated as young Ethan quickly began to display early signs of exceptional musical talent. Along with his siblings Hannah and Mark, the Gander family continued to hone their musical abilities and spellbind audiences at local live events.
In 2015 Ethan started teaching music in his home town of Ukiah California. As a music teacher he inspired dozens of students by teaching the fundamentals as well as encouraging them to write their own original material. Even after moving to LA he still holds zoom lessons with his core group of students.
