The Slow Cooked Bears are a London-based alt-rock trio blending gritty, guitar-driven energy with introspective lyricism. Their sound fuses alternative rock with a post-grunge edge and shoegaze textures, drawing inspiration from Radiohead, Pixies, and The Smashing Pumpkins.
Formed in the capital during turbulent times, the band released their debut single “Space Odyssey” during the COVID-19 lockdowns. That early clash of chaos and creativity shaped their identity: honest, resilient, and unafraid to confront uncomfortable truths.
They’ve since built a growing catalogue of self-released tracks, including “Polly,” “The Grand Scheme,” and “We’ll Never Be Apart”, which gained national exposure on ITV’s This Morning.
“The instrumentals, the riffs in this song are so so impressive… a luxurious listening experience, it’s very much indulgent to my ears.” — Rich, Unheard Indie
Their live shows are volatile and emotionally raw. Whether in packed venues or intimate spaces, they hit hard and erupt without warning.
With the recent addition of bassist Mick Gough, the band is stepping into a new chapter, refining their sound with deeper grooves, more atmosphere, and a sharper creative focus.
Working entirely independently, without major label support, The Slow Cooked Bears continue to prove that persistence, vision, and emotional honesty speak louder than hype.
