Who: The Slow Cooked Bears

Rock

The Slow Cooked Bears are a London trio who fuse together elements of Alternative rock, Shoegaze and Punk.

The bands debut single, electronic rock anthem “Space Odyssey” was released independently against the odds during the Covid-19 pandemic and even as a band member battled cancer. Follow up “The Grand Scheme” saw the band running around London with protest signs, devil masks and getting into trouble with local authorities as they took aim at the whole of society and turned that criticism inward in the provocative song. Working with producer Michael Smith whose former clients included Wolf Alice, the band took a massive leap forward with their latest single “We’ll Never Be Apart” which was picked up and used by ITV’s “This Morning”.

On the 2nd November the band embarked on a unique release schedule, for their forthcoming live EP “Dawn to dusk”. With authenticity and high energy on the agenda, every song was tracked “live” and captured in its own unique video over the course of a single day. Weekly videos will be posted every Thursday at 7pm GMT on the bands YouTube channel, with a full release on all streaming platforms on the 8th December.

Regularly and proudly playing in grass-routes independent music venues on the underground scene, the bands live shows are visceral energetic experiences not to be missed.
