With uplifting energy, their songs go where, when and how they wish, without losing dynamic rhythms. Live shows are magnetically engaging and fun.
In 2023, The Outers honed their diligently refined skills, with acclaimed single releases like ‘Danger Signs’ and ‘First Sight’ while gigging for key promoters. They were an obvious choice for the 20th anniversary Pop Of The Tops in New Cross.
2024 releases and appearances stepped them up.
‘Twenty’ (video collaboration with CSD Videography - Fontaines DC and The Velvet Hands) is a dark synth pulse which earned The Outers a This Feeling/GigSlutz track of the day. ‘London Wall’ (the silhouette visualiser looks like The Outers have their own TV show already) is a haunting ode, underlining that predators still exist amidst thhe illusive safety of the party scene.
The Outers opened Brighton Rock n Roll Circus last Summer and were not only invited to play more shows for influential independent, Kick Out The Jams, but also picked up shows with Metropolis Music, This Feeling and an acoustic stage slot at GoToBeat Festival. The Outers also found themselves played on Louder Than War Radio (Iain Key’s Indie Brunch), Amazing Radio and international independents.
They rounded off the year with a double page article in the October edition of ASBO - youth powered, internationally distributed, glossy print for our times (Kid Bookie cover). “This is a band you need to see” (ASBO Magazine).
A credible next level for a new band.
2025 began with The Outers completing recordings and planning the release of more unique songs. They are also nominees for The Musos Awards ‘Breakthrough Band’ and ‘Song’ (‘Twenty’) of 2025. An encouraging start.
Then in April, their appearance at CroCroLand Music Festival main stage earned new attention. The single, ‘Time For Tears’ was released and earned their first Radio X national Radio play from John Kennedy. In May, the spectacle of Brighton Rock n Roll Circus (by key promoter, Kick Out The Jams) earned much praise with the Sussex Newspaper review noting: “The Outers have a lead singer whose sheer charisma could fill The Albert Hall. More polished, hungrier, and tighter than the proverbial, The Outers delivered a flawless set making ample use of the space available.”
Step by step, The Outers are working it - and making an impression with each step.
