Idele creates R&B Soul music influenced by old Motown records and 90s R&B tracks that her mum and sister played for her.

At 14, Idele signed up for theatre school and began her musical journey. At Young and Talented Theatre School, the glee club ‘The Real Deal’ was formed, with Idele as a member, and they went on to win BBC Sports Relief Does Glee. Idele proceeded to study Music at BTEC and then at a postgraduate level. Whilst studying at the renowned music conservatoire, Leeds College of Music (now Leeds Conservatoire), Idele performed regularly, gigging and releasing music in Leeds. She opened for Sampha the Great at Headrow House and joined various choirs. One of which (Leeds Contemporary Singers) went on to win BBC Pitch Battle.

In 2024, Idele graduated from LAAMP, a music program in Los Angeles, run by the production duo Stargate and executive directed by Chris Anokute. She spent 9 months being mentored in this program and writing for the likes of Deputy, Kosine, Yung Gravy and Emily Warren. Idele’s debut EP, “I wish I never knew you” (released March 14, 2025), is a 7-track EP that draws influences from R&B, Soul, House, and Afro-Pop. The singles, “Say no more”, “Slow Down” and “I like this (a lot)” received support from BBC Introducing, and she performed them at BBC Introducing Live at Omeara. The project has also received support from DJ Ace on Kiss FM and has been featured on Spotify editorial playlists such as Fresh Finds R&B, Soultronic and R&B UK. In January 2025, she was the BBC introducing step up artist of the week, BBC 1Xtra track of the week in March and made it to the semi-finals of the Timbaland Orbiiit competition, who has also hailed her rich and unique tone on his live streams. Idele performed at the first SXSW London as part of DJ Ace’s Everything R&B night, Little Simz’ Meltdown festival at Southbank Centre, and now she regularly performs across the UK on platforms like Sofar Sounds, Everything R&B and Steamdown.

Idele creates Alternative RnB music influenced by old school Soul and RnB. In 2025, Idele was BBC introducing’s step up artist of the week, her single “Slow Down’” was the BBC 1Xtra track of the week in March and she has received support from legendary producer Timbaland, who has hailed her rich and unique tone on his live streams. Her debut EP ‘I wish I never knew you’ was released on March 14th and the two lead singles have been featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds R&B editorial playlist. She recently performed at The Meltdown festival curated by Little Simz and SXSW London.
