Sound Bath for Deep Relaxation at Thrive Wellbeing Hub (formerly known as The Hope Centre), 7 Hampden Road, Sale, Cheshire, M33 7UB.
Time: 7:00pm-8:00pm
Cost: £15 per person (plus Eventbrite booking fee).
What you need to bring: A yoga mat, a pillow, and a blanket, or a sleeping bag (as you will be lying down for the duration of the session). You may also wish to bring a bottle of water. Please ensure that you are well-hydrated and that you do not have a full stomach.
Commencing with a short guided meditation, followed by a sound bath featuring the healing sounds from handmade Himalayan singing bowls, ocean drum, Koshi wind chimes, and other sacred sound instruments.
Please note that these sound baths at Thrive Wellbeing Hub (formerly known as The Hope Centre) will all feature the use of slowly swirling ‘nebula’ light projections on the ceiling to make for a more immersive experience in sound and light. As such, if you are photosensitive, please consider bringing a blindfold to wear.
Booking is essential due to the limited number of spaces available.
Please note that I do not offer refunds. If you find that you cannot attend you can either transfer your booking to a friend, or transfer your booking on to the next sound bath I am running at this venue (Friday 23rd January 2026). Any transfers must be arranged with me at least 24 hours before the sound bath on which you had originally booked.
Contraindications: Please note that sound baths are unsuitable for:
• Anyone in the first trimester of pregnancy. (If you are in the second or third trimester, it is safe to attend sound baths, but please let me know.)
• Anyone with a pacemaker, stent, mechanical shunt, or any other metal implants in your body (with the exception of tooth fillings).
• Anyone with a sound-sensitive condition (such as sound-triggered epilepsy).
• Children under the age of 10 years.

Dr. Nicholas Peters studied Music Composition with Dr. Christopher Hobbs at Coventry University, achieving a First Class BA (Hons) degree (2008), an MA with Distinction (2011), and a practice-based PhD in Sonic Art, which he passed without any formal amendments (2019). He holds an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA), and the diploma of Associate Fellow of the National College of Music and Arts, London (AFNCollM). Nicholas lectured in music at Coventry University from 2010 to 2022. He is an accredited sound and mantra therapist with the IPHM and runs sound baths for deep relaxation in Altrincham, Bowdon, Hale, and Sale.
He specialises in creating music designed to induce altered states of consciousness, required for undertaking shamanic journeying, inner focusing, and meditation. He produces singing bowl and sound bath compositions, short instrumental compositions, theatrical production music, electro-acoustic, experimental, and ambient tracks. His tracks ‘Dreams of the Deep (432 Hz)’ and ‘Contemplating Dhyana’ have been played on “The Sleeping Forecast” on BBC Radio 3 Unwind. His sound therapy releases include ‘Mindful Moments with Ancient Jambati Singing Bowl’, ‘Sound Bath for Mother Earth’, ‘Rain and Thunder Therapy’, ‘Sound Bath: Himalayan Singing Bowls and Rain’, and ‘Spirit of the Himalayas Shamanic Singing Bowl’.
His album “Frankenstein”, is a theatre soundtrack composed for a play of the same name, directed by OSCAR and BAFTA-nominated Animator-Director Barry J. C. Purves.
