last year and a half - and what better way than teaming up with 2 other brilliant local promotions to deliver a day that’s even more diverse and packed with top selectors across different genres. This one is on us. Expect a melodic journey ranging through
Afro House and Afro Tech courtesy of the Nyumba crew, our own Melodic House and Techno vibe, supplemented perfectly by the addition of Acid Faith’s signature sound flowing from Progressive and Acid House into full throttle Ravey antics. This collaboration
will bring something for all tastes. Most importantly it will be a coming together of people and sounds in an amazing venue. Bring on the festival feels! The DBA is very important to Manchester’s scene - as safe queer space. Its essential that everyone respects
and embraces the environment, its staff and everyone in attendance bringing the same love and unifying energy that’s at the core of our underground scene. As we know you always do. Everyone involved in organising and performing at this party is doing it for
the love of the music and the scene - so we’d all love to see as many of you as possible there to make it our biggest and best yet. This is a ticket only event. You must have a ticket to enter and they will be limited to the venue’s capacity.

Afro House
MYDIR is an artist rapidly etching a distinctive imprint on the electronic music landscape. Known for his deep, emotive sound and precise production touch, his debut EP 1987 stormed into the top 10 of the Afro House charts, signaling his arrival in compelling style.
Blending spacious grooves with Afro rhythms, organic percussion, and hypnotic melodic hooks, MYDIR’s sound is as immersive as it is danceable. His DJ sets, showcased on his acclaimed Electronic Motion radio show (previously hosted on Data Transmission Radio and Drums Radio), have welcomed some of the finest talents in the Afro and melodic house scenes — further solidifying his reputation as a discerning selector.
MYDIR’s creative journey is deeply global. Influenced by his travels through New Zealand, Asia, and Australia, as well as his time promoting in Ibiza’s legendary club circuit, he draws inspiration from cross-cultural experiences and industry insight. A pivotal moment came witnessing Luciano’s spellbinding sets at Space Ibiza — a catalyst that ignited MYDIR’s own mission to shape dance floors worldwide.
In the studio, MYDIR channels these influences into highly crafted tracks that resonate across continents. His second EP The Traveller (INNU Records) is a sonic testament to his global perspective. Drawing inspiration from a broad spectrum — from Stevie Wonder to Carl Cox and Black Coffee — his work fuses musicality with powerful dancefloor energy and live instrumentation.
Now based in Manchester, where he honed his craft at the School of Electronic Music, MYDIR continues to make waves. His releases and remixes have earned critical acclaim, with multiple features in Beatport’s Best New Afro House charts and signings to respected labels such as INNU, WeAreDyll Records, and Bosom.
As a DJ, MYDIR has shared stages with renowned names like Enoo Napa, David Morales, and Budva Stava, with standout performances at iconic venues including Ministry of Sound (London), The Arch (Brighton), Rainbow Club (Birmingham), and 93 Feet East (London).
Today, MYDIR is the driving force behind Nyumba — a Manchester-based Afro and melodic house event series that has quickly become the genre’s spiritual home in the North West.
