A concert benefitting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Tickets are $20 at the door. There will be raffles, auctions, music, food and more. All money raised benefits the local chapter of the AFSP, covering 13 counties in Texas.
Garbage Girlfriend is a four-piece, all-female rock band hailing from Houston, Texas, blending raw garage energy with punchy pop hooks and unapologetic attitude. The lineup: Liv Teixeira (15) on lead vocals, Evelyn Moreno (17) on drums, Christy Ferra (15) on guitar, and Ciona Casino (18) on bass.
It all started in July 2022 when Evelyn broke up with her boyfriend—her ex called her a “garbage girlfriend” via text. Instead of sulking, she started a band. That insult became their name and their mission: to make loud, fearless music with a female-led lineup. The girls met at School of Rock, bonded, and quickly found their sound.
Liv’s deep, powerhouse vocals lead the charge, backed by Evelyn’s thunderous, freight train drumming, Christy’s gritty guitar riffs, and Ciona’s steady, magnetic bass lines. Together, they deliver garage-pop-rock with bite—catchy, loud, and ready to burn it down.
