David Fahl is a singer/songwriter, with solid roots Americana music. His songs cover a wide range of musical styles and subject matter, laced with original imagery, emotional depth and wry humor.
He has worked in bands covering blues, country, and classic rock. Currently working in a duo with his wife Alyson on piano.
Many songwriters have been called storytellers. Fahl can back up that claim. Here are some of the stories to be found in his songs: • A young woman from Kansas chases a dream to New Orleans. • A man finds himself coming to from blackouts into film noir scenes. • A woman plays the femme fatale and fuels a loser’s obsession. • Two men watch the woman they love self-destruct. • Traditional folk song murder ballad told by the killer attempting to deal with his crime. • Simple fun gone horribly wrong. • The usual tales of love lost, love found, love thrown away, • and a series of songs for dark childhood.
He is currently putting finishing touches on a new CD – Graduation Day.
He has produced 2 CDs of original songs and has been working with Alyson recording demos of songs from his catalog of over 400 titles.
