Who: Now Ex
Now Ex is the musical pseudonym for alternative pop artist and filmmaker Nick Hampson. Nick’s films and his music have a lot in common, building memorable, relatable worlds and characters that stick with you for a long time. Originally coming up in the opera world as a child soloist, Nick launched alt pop outfit Now Ex during the pandemic and has accrued an army of devoted fans across his two first EPs, whilst playing a series of packed out London shows along the way. In June 2023, Now Ex made his European debut with packed out shows in Amsterdam, Hamburg and Berlin. Now Ex has had great support from playlisting and radio across his first two EPs, being included on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Indie playlist amongst others, and Nick has interviewed on multiple BBC radio shows, as well as RTE 1 in Ireland. 2023 will see Now Ex return to Germany for three more shows in November, release his 3rd EP, and cap off the year with an intimate hometown acoustic show at the legendary St Pancras Old Church in London.
