Mit ihrem neuen Album Tough Love Paradigm im Gepäck kommen Laura Lee & The Jettes diesen Sommer zum Aalfest 2025.
Also known as one half of internationally acclaimed indie rock duo Gurr (IMPALA Album of the Year), Laura Lee steps back into the limelight as the songwriter and driving force of Laura Lee & The Jettes.
Surrounding herself with some of Berlin’s finest musicians, her new project balances raw underground energy with strong melodic hooks. Influenced by German Krautrock legends such as Neu! and Can, Lee explains: “It’s insane how influential these bands were on so many American acts while they remain still so unknown in German mainstream music.”
After their debut album Wasteland (2021, produced by Max Rieger) – which brought them to stages like Reeperbahn Festival and WDR Rockpalast – the band is back with their second album Tough Love Paradigm (out Sept 5, 2025 via The Orchard / Sony Music).
The record expands their sound towards indie rock, grunge and post-punk – with singles featured on KEXP, DLF Nova, Radio Eins, ByteFM, VISIONS, Diffus and US college radio (NACC Top 200). In 2025 they played showcases at SXSW (Austin) and New Colossus (NYC), and will celebrate the release with shows at Aalfest Hamburg and two concerts at LARK Berlin on Sept 7 (daytime & nighttime).
