“Eröffnet wird der Abend von HEMSING (Lasse Hemsing), einem aus Hamburg stammenden und inzwischen in Paris lebenden Komponisten und Pianisten.
HEMSING komponiert gerne und lässt sich von verschiedenen Musikgenres inspirieren. In seinem Solowerk gelingt es ihm, eine nahtlose Mischung aus zeitgenössischer Neoklassik und experimenteller Ambient-Musik zu finden.
Den zweiten Teil des Abends gestaltet Andrew Keese. Er ist ein Komponist, Pianist und Multi-Instrumentalist, dessen Musik reichhaltiges neoklassisches Klavier mit Ambient- und Post-Rock-Klanglandschaften verbindet. Er lebt und arbeitet in Melbourne/Naarm, Australien.
Seine Musik wurde bereits mit Nils Frahm, Ólafur Arnalds, George Winston, Radiohead, Atticus Ross, Pauline Oliveros und Brian Eno verglichen.
Anlässlich der Veröffentlichung seines Albums „Illuminator“ im Jahr 2025 wird Keese auf eine europäische Promotournee gehen, bei der er in Deutschland und beim Erica Synths „Erica’s Garage“-Showcase in Lettland auftreten wird, bevor er am Samstag, dem 9. August 2025 eine Headline-Show in der Konzerthalle des Arvo Pärt Centre in Estland spielt.”

Solo Piano
Lasse HEMSING is a german piano player from Hamburg who began releasing his own music on Piano Day in 2022. After finishing school, he studied at the Hamburg School of Music and is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in musicology. In May 2024, he released his first solo album called in colour (via @23BIT_Music).
HEMSING enjoys composing and drawing inspiration from various music genres. With his solo work, he successfully navigates a seamless blend of contemporary neoclassic and experimental ambience music. Jazz and Pop/Rock also play a significant role in his music, especially in live performances. As a keyboardist and pianist, HEMSING regularly performs with different groups, such as his his Jazz Trio @nujazzavenue and collaborates with singers at numerous concerts and festivals.

It took some time for him to finally release solo music, as he had always been involved in group or band contexts. However, the release and success of his first single, Felt, gave him the confidence to continue. His fifth single called, Stiller, even made it onto Nils Frahm’s official Piano Day playlist.
In march 2024, HEMSING moved to Paris, where he is exploring new opportunities to perform live and connect with the local music scene. In the meantime, he continues his solo work. Plans for concerts and more electronic songs are becoming increasingly concrete. There is so much more to come.
