Who: Cats and Dinosaurs
Jazz
Cats and Dinosaurs have been playing together since 2014, celebrating ten years as a band this fall. While their quirky vintage jazz will get every dance floor going, it is their socialist feminist lyrics and punk attitude that has captured hearts all over the world. With a blend of naive playfulness and rough edges, they honor the jazz pioneers not by copying them note by note but by embracing their energy, creativity and radical attitude. They have released four full length albums on independent record label PACAYA records, each well received both in Sweden and abroad. But their main reputation is built on their high-powered live shows, where songs like “Work Less!”, “Male Privilege” and “International Solidarity” are delivered in a surreal mix of jazz cabaret, sing-a-long and political rally. After a decade on the barricades, their goal remains the same: playing swing to fan the flames of discontent!
