So Where To Today?

Maximilian Hering, born in 1994, is a German drummer and composer. He leads and performs with Maximilian Hering Group, Red Hering, with his surf sound project The Foaming Waves and the Engel Trio. He is a highly regarded sideman in several bands too, such as the new hot, Sol Jang Trio, Sara Bax and MAR.CO, just to name a few. Maximilian composes for his bands but also for motion picture, like the short film Feindesland (2016) by Christine Wetzel and El Hamdu Lillah (2018) by Jonathan Kaiser. Furthermore, he regularly cooperates with the film music studio and record label Klangraum. He explores the possibilities of working interdisciplinary and is passionate about the combination of dance with drums and sounds. Since 2021 he collaborates with dancers/choreographers Sabrina Gargano and Rafa Jagat (Elelei Company), lately in their new creation “Too Much”.
