Edinburgh’s SOTD are Hugh Duggie, Ian White and Stephen ‘Bendy Toy’ Evans.
Ian was guitarist in Factory Records band the Wendys. Hugh was in Mute band Foil and in Lowlife with ex-Cocteau Twins bassist Will Heggie. Stephen was, and is, Bendy Toy.
BBC 6Music’s Gideon Coe has featured SOTD tracks several times through 2017.
They redact and reduce experiences and personalities they meet; wrapping them in beats and melodies, to make pop-tinged noir. It’s guitars and electronics and voices.
