Who: Godeater

Death Metal

GODEATER are a death metal band from Glasgow, Scotland.

Fiercely independent and uncompromising in their sound, the band have released two albums, two EPs and a slew of singles since forming in 2016.

From vivid and provocative debut album All Flesh is Grass, to melancholic and introspective sophomore album Vespera, GODEATER pride themselves on delivering incredibly intricate and dynamic extreme metal soundscapes time and time again. With the recent addition of vocalist Jamie Harrison, GODEATER are back firing on all cylinders and are ready to reintroduce themselves in a new light.

While often known for the high-calibre of their recorded output, the four-piece are rapidly gaining a reputation for ferocious performances on the UK live circuit. Highlights include appearances at Bloodstock, Revive Festival, Damnation Festival, Mangata Festival and UK Tech-Fest, tours with Party Cannon, Paleface, Pintglass, Osiah, Beyond Extinction, Harbinger and Vexed, and support slots with Chelsea Grin, Kublai Khan TX and Ingested.

“Their most dynamic and expansive offering to date… a bombastic exploration of complacency in an age of turmoil…” - Noizze

“A Pale Shadow walks the line between post-metal and death metal in a truly astonishing way, managing to be as ethereal as it is brutal across its near seven minute run-time.” - Rock Sound

“Mind-bending tech death with a head full of mad ideas” - Metal Hammer Magazine

“As debut albums go, All Flesh Is Grass could hardly have been more meticulously conceived or executed.” - Blabbermouth

“A performance that is utterly gripping and thoroughly enjoyable, and judging from the rapturous applause that greets every song, expect to see much more of Godeater in the future.” 9/10 - Distorted Sound (Damnation 2019)
