Spontaneous and incredibly curious, Rahul Shah is a singer-songwriter who is fiercely rooted in indie-pop. His musical prowess stems from the need to carry his father’s legacy. Ever since he burst on the scene, it has been a reminder of his father’s influence as a Qawwali singer and an imparted obsession with the greats like KL Saigal, Jagjit Singh, Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar.
Rahul’s music has an undertone of grief, hope and healing. He’s all about bringing people and their stories out to the world to be heard when they can’t necessarily tell and would rather hold on to the strength of music to have at it.
He has been creating a space with his sound and sending a message of hope with his lyrics and melodic pattern. His debut track was released in June 2020 during the lockdown. Since then, he has put out 19 songs & written for artists like Raghav Meattle, Shreya Jain, Utsavi Jha & Akanksha Sethi to name a few.
