Verdigris is an unsigned singer/songwriter and sound artist based in Amsterdam. His lyrics touch on themes such as darkness and light, death and rebirth, faith and loss, drawing from the tales and myths of his Sardinian homeland.
Born and raised on the mystical island of Sardinia, Verdigris grew up in a very religious family but was surrounded by a community deeply rooted in local ancient paganism. He started his artistic journey as a theatrical actor at 16 and continued as a performer, studying and playing his voice as an instrument. He uses his voice in multiple ways, layering different vocals, and combining them with electronic music to create a unique sound. His performances are immersive and use sound and silence as raw materials, channeling voices from the inside and the outside.
