Danish trio Alaska Blonde, emerging from the rhythm section of the highly acclaimed klezmerband Klezmofobia, is releasing their debut single Fjällröv. Featuring electric guitar, balalaika-doublebass, and drums, the trio creates a sound that combines surf energy, klezmer- and Middle Eastern-inspired tones à la Misirlou, with a cinematic, instrumental nerve drawing inspiration from the mystique of The Doors, the drive of The Who, and the wild intensity of Jimi Hendrix.
Alaska Blonde’s roots in Klezmofobia – 4 critically acclaimed albums, over 50,000 albums sold, tours in Japan, China, Mexico, and Svalbard, and Danish Music Award 2007 for Best World Music Album – provide a strong musical foundation for the project.
Release Concert: The single will be celebrated live on 25 February 2026 at H15, Copenhagen, where audiences can experience the trio’s legendary live energy, improvisational joy, and surf-infused instrumental universe.
Fjällröv is the first single from an upcoming album, showcasing Alaska Blonde’s unique blend of surf, gypsy jazz, klezmer, and cinematic instrumental music.
