Dame Jane Glover leads the Music of the Baroque Chorus, Orchestra, and international stars Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen and Heidi Stober in our first performances of Gluck’s emotionally charged Orfeo ed Euridice. Follow Orfeo’s desperate journey to the Underworld as he battles fate to rescue his beloved Euridice, armed with nothing but his voice. With soaring arias like “Che farò senza Euridice” and dramatic choruses, will music—and love—conquer all?

Led by acclaimed British conductor Jane Glover, music director since 2002, Music of the Baroque is the Midwest’s leading professional chorus and orchestra specializing in eighteenth-century music. Sixty of the Chicago area’s finest professional musicians make up the chorus and orchestra of Music of the Baroque.
