Getting Started is a Chicago-based indie-rock band that burst onto the scene in 2022. The quintet – Jack Gallo [vocals/rhythm guitar], Matt Stein [lead guitar], Pat Hickey [bass], Jack Scanlon [drums], and Eddie O’Connor [keys] – honed their sound with an eclectic mix of individual influences, drawing inspiration from the raw energy of The Strokes and Kings of Leon alongside the modern twist on indie rock of Mt. Joy and Hippo Campus.
This dynamic band has captivated audiences throughout Chicagoland, rocking legendary stages like The Cubby Bear, Chop Shop, The Hideout, and Subterranean. They’ve also packed houses at HVAC Pub, Uncommon Ground, and The House of Blues Foundation Room.
