Adonis Martin, also known as Mastadonis, is a Boston native that grew up playing organ and keyboard at his grandfather’s church.
As a composer and arranger, Adonis paints musical pictures drawn from the harmonious palette of his imagination, transforming ideas into sound that feels almost visual. His music serves as a canvas for his own life experiences, capturing both the struggles and the triumphs.
His band, The Mastadonis Project, brings an eclectic style to jazz, encompassing gospel, R&B and neo-soul, along with Latin and Caribbean music. Some of his musical influences include Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, Herbie Hancock and Oscar Peterson and other artists, including D’angelo and the whole Neo-Soul era of artists. His band is sure to give you an EAR opening experience.
