Formed in 2005 by Craig Naso, NUTSHELL was born from a deep respect for one of the most hauntingly powerful bands of the ‘90s, Alice in Chains. What started as a personal passion project quickly became a full-scale tribute to the raw emotion, dark harmonies, and heavy grit that defined the Seattle sound. Craig, a lifelong fan of Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell’s songwriting, assembled a group of like-minded musicians to honor the legacy with intensity and precision.
Hal White’s powerful voice and emotional delivery bring down the house with renditions of songs like Man In The Box and Would? Hal channel’s Layne Staley’s style and stage presence to create an immersive experience for the audience.
Brendan Flaherty brings forth the grit and heavy riffs that embody Jerry Cantrell’s sound. He is focused on capturing the essence of Cantrell’s style, adding to the authentic Alice in Chains tribute experience.
Geoff Misci captures the band’s distinctive rythmic intensity and dynamic shifts, emulating the style of Sean Kinney. He brings a strong, driving sound, incorporating the complex time signatures and powerful beats that are hallmarks of the music of Alice in Chains.
Nina Walden is a dynamic and supportive presence, providing a solid foundation to the rhythm section. She brings the authentic sound of Alice In Chains to life, emulating the style of both Mike Starr and Mike Inez.
