Birds of a Feather is an indie family superduo consisting of two kids music luminaries – Brooklyn’s, longtime children’s music pioneer, Suzi Shelton and Filipina-American Little Miss Ann of Chicago. Individually, Suzi and Ann have each maintained a strong presence in the national kids music scene, performing with their own bands across the country and producing many award-winning albums on their own. For over a decade, these longtime friends have also been inspired to perform together regularly at esteemed venues including the Kids stage at Lollapalooza (Chicago), The Overture Center (Madison), Jewish Museum (NYC), and Wolftrap (DC) to name a few. Birds of a Feather released their hit Debut Album “Rock Together” last year and are loving performing for audiences throughout the country – including here at the Cabot!
Little Miss Ann (Ann Torralba) plays upbeat, down-to-earth, interactive music for families. This 5″2 powerhouse inspires kids with her positive messages of strength and individuality while engulfing kids in the warmth of her soulful vocals and infectious melodies. Most of all Little Miss Ann’s concerts are just downright fun for all!
Ann is an award-winning, touring kids musician, a former Chicago Public School teacher, a veteran instructor at the Old Town School of Folk Music, a mom, and a first generation Filipina American. Ann plays reinvented classics as well as unique originals from her 5 kids albums. Her music has been featured on WXRT Local Anaeshetic, Sirius XM Kids Place Live, WTMD in Philly, KDHX in St. Louis and more! She has played Lollapalooza, Nashville’s Pilgrimage Festival, SXSW, Overture Center in Madison, Detroit Zoo, Strathmore Theater and more!
