Benny Kaszuba (they/them), known professionally as CR, is an independent queer, non-binary musical artist from Gdynia, Poland, based in Leicester, UK, since 2014. CR’s current sound blends alternative pop, bedroom pop and synth pop. Their musical world is as colourful as a rainbow - expressing different sides of themselves and highlighting their different life experiences.
Their ‘whatever’ era offers their outstanding, homemade visual/artistic experience through album teasers, a concept CR looks forward to expanding, potentially leading up to filming their first music video. CR has been in the pre-debut phase since 2019, their releases follows a cumulative pattern, building momentum for each project, leading up to the release their exceptional upcoming debut album that CR worked on since 2018 with an elevated visual experience inspired by vaporwave culture.
CR latest release is a pair of demos they have kept since 2022 and decided to share these tracks last November with their fandom, Winners.
CR is currently working on an EP that contrasts the feel of CR’s last EP, ‘amalgamate (solo prologue)’. It has a nocturnal feel with more raw and vulnerable lyricism that delves deeper into CR’s mystical and introspective imagery.
