The community of adults with disabilities I work with in Northampton called JH & Oarpel are trying to raise money for a minivan, this would really improve their lives and mean we can have some sick days out so I’m doing a local Northampton headline show to help raise some money!
I’ve decided to put on a Billy Lockett gig with the full band at The Charles Bradlaugh on the 18th September, the venue has kindly waved their hire fee as a one off for us and 100% of the ticket money will go towards the minivan for the guys, I’ve held the 19th as well just incase we manage to sell out the 18th quickly. 🤞
We’re also gonna do a raffle on the night so any local businesses out there who would like to help donate a gift as prizes would be hugely appreciated, in return I’ll give you a shout out on all my marketing, press and radio I do about the show over the coming months. ♥️I love these guys, they are genuinely good friends of mine and so I really hope with the power of the Locketteers we can make this happen for them. It would be so special if we can do this! 🤞

Who: Billy Lockett
Hello I’m Billy Lockett.
I’m a piano man.
I grew up in a small town in the UK called Northampton with my crazy hippy dad.
He encouraged me to have a career in music.
After a few years things started to happen, I was playlisted on Radio 1 and went on tour supporting Birdy, Lana del Rey and KT Tunstall.
Dad died.
I stopped everything and came back home.
Went off the rails a bit.
Got a cat.
Spent the next 2 years in the cellar of my dad’s house writing songs.
Grew an afro accidentally.
Moved to probably the smallest room in London.
Played every open mic night in the city for a year.
Sold out my first headline show.
Got signed.
Cut afro off.
Spent another 2 years writing.
Went off the rails again.
Got help.
Toured with Lewis Capaldi and Electric Light Orchestra.
Put my own tour on sale.
It completely sold out.
My mind was blown.
Broke up with my record label.
Girlfriend dumped me… (on WhatsApp!)
Had my heart broken.
Moved back to my dad’s old house (with cat).
Wrote and recorded an EP called Reset.
That’s the story so far, follow me to see what happens next.
I’ve been writing this debut album for 25 years, I think it’ll be ready soon….
