"description": "VOWWS are an Australian Death-Pop duo, based in Los Angeles.\n\nTheir debut album, 2015's The Great Sun, was a dirty, grinding and swaying work - a collection of dark, driving songs shrouded in layers of tape distortion. Originally issued by Cleopatra, the album attracted the interest of some distinguished peers, and featured guest appearances by electronic music legend Gary Numan and Swans' percussionist Thor Harris. Their 2018 sophomore album, Under the World, arrived via Belgian imprint Weyrd Son, as a cinematic, stylish and menacing statement of intent.
