Karussell was a rock band from East Germany. Besides Karat, City and the Puhdys they were one of the most popular bands in that era. Their most well known songs are Wer die Rose ehrt, Ehrlich will ich bleiben and Autostop. The song Als ich fortging is still being played by radio stations and is amongst the most popular songs from the former GDR.
