DANCÆ presents a new ballet set to electronic music within a 360° spatial sound installation, performed to a live set from renowned techno producer Chlär. An accompanying exhibition in collaboration with BBA Gallery will further expand the themes and tropes of the performances. Costume design for the ballet by Kasia Kucharska.

About the Event
Renowned techno producer Chlär and Ballet Sur_real have collaborated on a new ballet set to electronic music. As Chlär performs a live set, both the dancers and the 360° spatial sound installation by d&b audiotechnik’s 360° become extensions of his composition.
An evening in two acts, Elizabetha Poliakova will perform a solo creation in collaboration with Felix Kiessing. For the second act, Ballet Sur_real’s work, in collaboration with Chlär explores how consciousness today is transformed through data and algorithms, highlighting both the dystopian and utopian realities artificial intelligence has brought forth.
After Party
On December 11, stay after the performance for a house set by Chlär, followed by an all-nighter with Norman Nodge. Admission is free, though we warmly appreciate the support of purchasing a ticket, as it directly helps sustain our artists and future productions. Tickets for the after-party can be purchased specifically for the December 11 date.
Artists
Known for his driving, percussive sets, Chlär represents the forefront of Europe’s new generation of techno artists. Chlär is a Swiss-born electronic music producer and DJ, currently based in Berlin, who often performs as a duo with Alarico under the name Funkassualt. His oeuvre reflects a strong interest in techno’s deeper, more hypnotic dimensions.
Ballet Sur_real is the official ballet ensemble of DANCÆ, founded in 2023 by choreographers Soraya Schulthess and Renato De Leon. The ensemble’s work fuses classical ballet with electronic music, integrating immersive installations and innovative technologies into its choreographic language. Their creations draw on contemporary life while delving into the deeper psychological motives that drive human behavior.
Installation
d&b audiotechnik is one of the world’s leading sound system manufacturers, known for its precision, clarity, and immersive spatial technology. Its d&b Soundscape system allows sound to move freely through a space, creating the sensation of being inside the music rather than simply listening to it.
An accompanying exhibition extends the project beyond the stage, transforming its themes into an immersive, standalone gallery experience.
Chlär holds this perpetual need to learn and improve, convinced of the fundamental relationships humans share with the groove. His productions and performances are attempts to awaken the tribal and primitive instinct that sleeps in each of us. His sets are direct crowd-galvanizers with technical and forward-thinking blends of grooves featuring loops of his own production. Always improvising through relentless 3-4 decks actions, his context sensitive approach to performances is fuelled by an highly effective audience reading which will guarantee an electrifying moment, no matter the set time and duration.
He is also a former mastering engineer working with renowned labels such as Taapion, RAW or Ritmo Fatale and co-runs Bipolar Disorder Rec. Chlär is sharpening his musical senses and abilities on many sides of the industry, by being an artist and engineer but also working in A&R and Event Management, which recently led him to be the ‘’Raver’s Choice’’ from the Raving Spoon awards.
