“Vi en el tumulto un deseo parecido” es un dispositivo artístico dirigido por el músico, escritor y actor argentino Javier Pittorino. Canciones teatrales, escenas en vivo, lecturas y recitados se entrelazan en un concierto performático que cruza música, literatura y psicoanálisis. Inspirado en el escritor Witold Gombrowicz, con reminiscencias de Macedonio Fernández, James Joyce y Oscar Masotta, Javier Pittorino despliega una experiencia singular, donde la palabra y el cuerpo musical se fragmentan en escena. Una voz que no canta: irrumpe.
Musician, writer and argentinian composer, Javier Pittorino has released three albums: “Un día en el campo” (2017), “Si sabes tu nombre” (2019) and “Vi en el tumulto un deseo parecido” (2022). He is on tour presenting his new single “Fuego y frío” (2024).
His style is theatrical rock-alternative song, characterised by lyrics that move between literature and psychoanalysis. Pittorino defines himself as a skipped reader strongly influenced by the work of the writer Witold Gombrowicz. It is worth mentioning that in 2019, he composed “El Merodeador”, specially commissioned for the International Congress Witold Gombrowicz.
Javier will perform in a solo set of voice and electric guitar, playing songs from his three albums, as well as presenting new compositions. The show will be integrated into a performance that links theatrical scenes and literature of Latin American authors such as Juan Rulfo, Macedonio Fernández, Witold Gombrowicz (Polish-Argentinean) and Oscar Masotta, among others.
