Join us on March 2 for a special, one-time screening of Standard Selects: The Movie, made in collaboration with the Atlanta-based independent magazine, Mainline 🎉 The film is screening in support of the upcoming digital series, a reboot of the original “Standard Selects,” which originally aired in 2018 and has been on hiatus since 2020.
A special collection of live in-studio direct-to-VHS performances, Standard Selects: The Movie features eleven live musical performances that will be featured in season one of the series, with episodes beginning March 10. The artists featured in this series are BAUMS, CDSM, Janie Danger, Maggie FM, major, Makenna Lyric, MUELAS, Safety Switch, Sloping, SMALL, and Upchuck. Exclusive interviews with each artist will also be featured.
The film was fully recorded at Standard Electric Recorders Co., a local independent recording studio (and then some) located in Sunny Scottdale, and was edited by Standard Electric owner and engineer Damon Moon. Produced by Aja Arnold, Autumn James, Damon Moon, and Sydney Ward, with support from Bailey Crone, Lindsay Thomaston, and Jake Van Valkenburg.
