December 27 is also the second day of Kwanzaa, honoring Kujichagulia — Self-Determination. The call to define yourself. Name yourself. Create for yourself. Speak for yourself. We light the red candle as a reminder of purpose, power, and intention—building on Umoja (Unity) and moving forward with clarity.
This night of Kickin Up Dust is about reflection and release. Dancing off the old year. Setting the tone for what’s next.

KEMIT est un auteur-compositeur, interprète, poète et écrivain originaire du Gabon et basé en France. Influencé par les classiques de la musique africaine, la chanson française et la culture hip hop. il écrit des chansons aux influences afrobeat, soul, avec des touches de hip hop qui se démarquent par leur proposition universelle. Il se définit lui-même comme le Guerrier Bantu ; et se distingue par son amour des mots et son sens aiguisé de la formule. Ses textes, essentiellement volontaristes, véhiculent des valeurs humanistes. Après “Azania” (2019), “Diluvienne” (2020) et “Tessiture” (2023), il est sorti l’EP “Émeraude” le 17 mai 2024. Son nouvel EP nouvel Ep « Jade » dans lequel on retrouve essentiellement de l’Afrobeat avec des couleurs hip hop et soul est sorti ce 07 novembre 2025 lors d’un concert live dans la mythique salle parisienne Les Trois Baudets. Kemit est en tournée en France et dans le monde entier.
