Canyonland is a super group of Atlanta musicians who play the legendary songs of 70’s California Rock. Because of it’s easy So-Cal vibe and cheap rent, Laurel Canyon became the music mecca of the late 60’s and 70’s where talented twenty- something singer songwriters converged and together created a new music genre called country rock. Some lived together, wrote together, sang and performed together and slept together. This is where the name Canyonland originates for the band.
Formed in October 2021, Canyonland is Michelle Malone, Doug Kees, Nelson Nolen, Mark Lehi Jones, and Mike Rizzi. Together members of this Super group have performed with the likes of Gregg Allman, Jackson Browne, J.D.
