Prosiect cerddorol ‘global-alt-pop’ a chomedi yw Worldwide Welshman, wedi ei arweinio gan Liam Rickard (un rhan o’r fand Lo-Fi Jones, ac o’r cyn-fandiau Timestealers a Naughty Magic Simon). Ganwyd y syniad yn 2015 yn Eryri, ac yn fuan ar ol hynny, aeth Liam i Lundain i ddilyn ei freuddwyd o creu band rhyngwladol traws-ardull. Mae Worldwide Welshman bellach yn byw ym Machynlleth. Mae o’n perfformio ar ei ben ei hun ac efo band.
A singer-songwriter and novelty-alt-pop artist from North Wales, and one of Europe’s favourite little-known, underground pan-global party bands, Worldwide Welshman takes you on an exhilarating musical journey with infectious tunes, quirky humour, tragi-comic pop-folk ballads and multilingual musings on modern life.
The first incarnation, Worldwide Welshman & Beyond, was formed out of the jamming scene of East London around 2016. Since then, the project has grown into a multi-national flexi-band with alternative lineups in Belgium, Germany and Cymru.
Worldwide Welshman and the band create a rich tapestry of folk, jazz & funk flavours; a cosmopolitan sound celebrating the cultural melting-pot of modern Europe.
