The Wax Worms are a “worm-next-door” psychedelic indie band hailing from Miami, Florida.
Formed in 2017, the band consists of Max Harrison (vocals/guitar), Ryan Garcia (guitar), Max Trullenque (bass), Caleb Carr (drums), and Alejandro Quevedo (keyboard/production). Their music is an eclectic blend of psych & proto-punk, blog-era indie rock, and 70’s AM easy-listening, drawing inspiration from acts such as Todd Rundgren, The Flaming Lips, and The Velvet Underground, as well as acts from the Global South and East like Telegraph Avenue, Los Zafiros, and Shintaro Sakamoto.
Currently, they are prepping a catalog of singles and music videos set to release this year.
Listener side-effects may include (but are not limited to): pleasant air flow from the ear canal to the brain and feet, positive visual over-stimulation, positive audio over-stimulation, questions, mild confusion, and/or extreme euphoria (some listeners may also experience mild introspection dependent on mental state).
