The Junction are a power trio from the Padua area, made up of Marco Simioni (guitar and vocals), Alessandro Maroso (bass and backing vocals), and Francesco Reffo (drums and vocals). They play indie rock with a punk attitude, noise pop undertones, and a raw garage feel.
Their main influences come from the rock, noise, and alternative scenes of the ’80s and ’90s (Sonic Youth, Pixies, Pavement, Brainiac, Mission of Burma, Built to Spill, and many more), as well as post-punk bands like Gang of Four, The Fall, The Slits, and their later evolutions and followers.
They love being on stage, feeling and sharing the raw energy of their instruments, which they strike with passion.
The Junction have released three LPs, along with singles and EPs, in collaboration with Dischi Soviet Studio (Cittadella, PD). New music is on the way starting in spring 2025. The band has played hundreds of shows across Italy and abroad, including tours in France, Germany, the UK, and Switzerland.
