Tania Naranjo is a Chilean-born Sweden -based concert pianist, singer, and composer whose work fuses classical sophistication with the soul of Latin America. Her emotionally rich music blends jazz, tango, bossa nova, and contemporary influences into a unique and genre-defying voice. Her upcoming solo album “Ojosauro” (2025) is a deeply personal tribute to the inner world of Frida Kahlo, drawing from the artist’s diaries and private writings. Building on the poetic foundation of her acclaimed 2023 release “Rosor” which set music to the words of iconic women poets from Scandinavia and Latin America- “Ojosauro” dives into cinematic, minimalist, and emotionally immersive terrain. Tania’s compositions have been featured in film (“The Ape Star”), opera (“Nalle Havsöga”)m and symphonic works (“Duel of hearts”), and she has performed internationally with ensembles, orchestras, and crossover acts like Naranjo-Weurlander and the TRUE MUSIC PROJECT. Her latest ensemble, Orientino Duo, with Syrian-Swedish darbouka player Bader Debs, blends Middle Eastern and Latin American musical traditions and continues to tour in 2025 following a successful debut at Malmö Folk Festival. Winner of numerous cultural awards, Tania Naranjo creates music that is fearless, poetic, and deeply human-each performance a powerful, cross-cultural journey of rhythm, resistance, and emotional truth.
