Since their formation in 2015, the Salty Saints have developed their own distinctive sound – deeply rooted in the tradition of British blues rock, yet incorporating influences from American rock as well.
Powerful, direct, and at the same time meticulously detailed – somewhere between the earthy riffs of The Black Crowes, the drive of Lenny Kravitz, and the raw energy of Rival Sons. Gritty, tube-amplified guitars and crisp, distinctive Hammond and piano sounds meet the raw, powerful voice of singer Manuel Preuß, who delivers edgy rock hooks. Supported by polyphonic backing vocals and a driving rhythmic foundation, the band creates a blend of handcrafted vintage warmth and contemporary directness.
Following the release of their EP Walk on Water in 2021, the band’s first full-length album, OFF THE HOOK, will be released in early 2026. Recorded at the renowned Boogie Park Studios in Hamburg and produced, mixed, and mastered by Toma Moon, this release presents the Salty Saints at their strongest yet. The eleven songs are entirely original compositions and represent a cross-section of the quintet’s various creative phases. Recorded predominantly live, they remain true to the band’s core and reflect the musicians’ diverse musical influences. This album showcases the band as they sound live – tight, rocking, emotional, dynamic, and full of rough edges.
