Rome is not a town is a band from Gothenburg, Sweden. With a raw, dynamic sound, sharp lyrical edge, angular guitars, restless rhythms and a sense of emotional urgency their music recalls the energy of 90s alternative rock and post-punk. With a DIY spirit and a thoughtful, sometimes confrontational approach to songwriting, the band has carved out their own space in the Scandinavian underground scene.
After previous releases on indie label Startracks, the band started their own label Spirit Spirit Records. The album ”Echoes of love” (set for release in early 2026) marks a new chapter of complete creative control and continued sonic exploration.
