Behind Polite is singer and songwriter Karina Kaleda. Rooted in folk and indie rock, Polite’s universe combines soft vocals, whimsical synthesizers and dreamy guitar themes. The colorful sound contrasts with the darker and rather striking lyrics, which zigzag between topics such as generation gaps and vulnerability.
Even though Kaleda has been writing songs all her life, it still feels like Polite came out of the blue. All of a sudden she stood in the middle of the Copenhagen music scene and pushed the music in a completely different direction. Polite’s debut single will be released at the beginning of 2025 through Konkylie.
