Who: Peaky Pluckers
Peaky Pluckers is a young band with an old style. Led by Irish singer and guitarist Alex Walker (from Dublin, Ireland) and german violin player Mario Ostermann (from Essen a.d. Ruhr, Germany), Peaky Pluckers is known to be one of the busiest bands in Hamburg, Germany, performing a wide range of different styles of music, from rock and pop cover over traditional Irish music to country music, jazz and rap. In march 2025, Peaky Pluckers released their first two singles, an acoustic version of Alex Walker’s song “WHO ARE YOU” and a live studio recording of the traditional “KESH JIG” . Peaky Pluckers has performed at many festivals all over Germany such as Hafengeburtstag Hamburg, Maschseefest Hannover and Kieler Woche. In 2024, Peaky Pluckers was main act at the 7th Irish Folk Festival Ufa Fabrik, Berlin. All band menbers are professional full-time musicians, based in Hamburg, Germany.
