Artist: Oedipus and the Mama’s Boys

Who: Oedipus and The Mama’s Boys

Noise-rock

Oedipus and The Mama’s Boys are a seven-piece sonic soundscape from Edinburgh, blending raw post-punk energy with experimental noise rock textures. Armed with guitar, bass, saxophone, violin, drums, and synths, their sound is chaotic, cathartic, and original. Drawing influence from genre heavyweights like IDLES, Gilla Band, Squid, The Murder Capital, and Gurriers.

Known for their intense live performances, the band sold out their headline show at Sneaky Pete’s and made their Glasgow debut at the world famous King Tut’s, opening the venue’s prestigious Summer Nights series. With a lineup that pushes boundaries and a sound that defies convention, Oedipus and the Mamas Boys are carving out a bold new space in the UK’s underground music scene. With exciting support slots with ‘Joe and the Shitboys‘, ‘Legss’, ‘Hotel Lux’, ‘Bones Ate Arfa’ and ‘ Fuzz Lightyear’ scheduled for late 2025, this band is only just getting started.

“The sonic diversity presented by the band in only a thirty-minute set displays how they were the ideal choice for this [King Tut’s Summer Nights] opening night.” - Discovery Music Scotland

“This is the sort of band you would expect to see on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, 100%” - Ben Pritchard, COO/Founder, BSBTV
