‘Numero irrazionale’ is a solo project of the italian bassist Nicole Conte. Born in 2005, she started at the end of 2024 to put together her first songs, which she wrote, recorded and produced with little to no equipment on her own in her room. Her songs, just pubblished on December 11 on all digital platforms in her first ep ‘frattali/frattaglie’, have heavy post-punk, shoegaze and post-hardcore influences, with repetitive looped riffs, obsessive background vocal lines and an over-use of the bit crusher. The songs could be defined as lo-fi maximalist.
Active in the underground scene since 2022, she was member of many bands. She is now part of the bands Sacrifighe and Crabtheory. She also goes on tour with the artist CIGNO, as backliner and substitute choralist.
