Norbert is a leading Slovak pianist and composer, known for his technical precision and expressive performance. He is the first pianist from Slovakia to be selected by Petrof for the prestigious international Petrof Art Family. Zuzana Ceralová-Petrofová said of him: “He is the only pianist from Slovakia who can truly make our pianos sing.”
He began playing the piano at the age of 4. At 12, he was accepted to the Conservatory in Bratislava as an exceptional talent. After a concert tour in the USA, he received a scholarship in Pennsylvania and worked with professors from the Juilliard School. He later studied at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava under Prof. Marián Lapšanský, who called him “the most talented pianist of his generation.”
He has performed across almost all of Europe and the United States, won top prizes at international competitions, and completed countless piano masterclasses. He has collaborated with Lang Lang and released several albums of original compositions and piano books. As the creator of his own teaching method, Norbert teaches both children and adults, emphasizing a personal approach and the development of individual talent. His oldest student is 63 years old.
Each year, Norbert Daniš presents a series of concerts in Slovakia and the Czech Republic that touch the soul, inspire, and leave a deep artistic impact.
