Fresh off a standout performance at CMC Rocks 2025 as part of the Back Forty lineup, where he showcased his music as an emerging artist, Michael Honan is on an upward trajectory.
In 2024, Michael delivered incredible breakout performances at the Ridin’ Hearts Festival in Sydney and Melbourne, winning the festival’s Ridin’ Starts competition - a pivotal moment in his career. That same year, he took part in APRA’s Melbourne to Nashville SongHubs songwriting camp, led by Nashville-based Australian songwriter and producer Lindsay Rimes. Michael was then among five participants selected to travel to Nashville for further writing sessions, where he had the chance to work with renowned and beloved Australian country music star Morgan Evans. He looks forward to sharing more of his music in the future.
Michael also recently returned from an eight-week trip to Nashville, where they wrote and recorded new music. During the visit, he performed his largest show to date at the ‘Country Goes Global’ showcase at Luke Combs’ Category 10 bar, as part of CMA Fest, the biggest country music event in Nashville.
After spending his time in Nashville, performing, writing, recording and perfecting his craft, the remainder of 2025 is looking bright for the young singer-songwriter. Michael Honan is the rising Australian country artist who needs to be on everyone’s radar.
