Michael Boezi brings the energy and ethos of the post-punk era to the modern era with thought-provoking original songs that invite progressive, collectivist, and non-confrontational reflection as an antidote to the years of programming and propaganda we all endure. “Resistance and change often begin in art.” – Ursula LeGuin
Michael performs regularly in the metro Boston area in a busking, “electric folk” Billy Bragg style – and in a band format too, either as a trio (with bass & drums) or a lap steel added for an Americana feel. He just released an LP called “No Love Songs, Vol. 1,” featuring some of Boston’s best musicians as collaborators. Comparisons include Billy Bragg, Andrew Bird, Kurt Vile, Dire Straits, Mountain Goats, Lord Huron, R.E.M, Johnny Marr, and Richard Thompson.
