Mia Lovelock is an interdisciplinary artist whose work weaves together music, visual art, and fashion, inspired by her Yuin and Kulin Nation heritage and her upbringing in Arnhem Land and Papua New Guinea. Her Alt-Country, Folk, and Pop-infused sound has gained national recognition, with features on Triple J, major community radio stations, and placements on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music playlists. Her single Bring A Better Day has surpassed 370,000 Spotify streams, and she has been the cover artist for Spotify’s Original Storytellers and Big Ancestor Energy playlists.
In 2025, Mia was selected for First Sounds Volume 12, produced by Gadigal Information Service / Koori Radio and the CBAA, while her Feathers EP reached #3 on the AMRAP Community Radio Metro Charts. As a visual artist, she won the Aboriginal Scholarship Award at the Mil-Pra AECG Art Prize and will present a new body of work at Liverpool Powerhouse in 2026. Her notable works include Deadly Doors, a permanent installation at The EORA Centre in Redfern, with previous exhibitions at Parliament House Sydney and during NAIDOC Week at The Downing Centre.
Her innovative live performances fusing music, painting, and fashion have been showcased at a range of shows, including the Sydney Fringe Festival and Parramatta Lanes Festival. Through her work, Mia celebrates sustainability, cultural storytelling, and the strength of First Nations women in the arts.
