Maverick Mom is a four-piece rock band formed in April 2022. Their name blends Maverick, meaning nonconformity, and Mom, short for Moment, embodying their mission to create music so unique that it leaves an indelible mark from the very first moment it’s heard.
Within just four months of their formation, the band made a remarkable debut appearance as the opening act at ROCK IN JAPAN FES 2022, one of the country’s largest festivals. Later that year, they independently released their much-anticipated first mini-album, ENERGY.
In March 2023, Maverick Mom held their first one-man live show at Matto Bunka Kaikan Pino in their hometown of Hakusan, Ishikawa, drawing more than 1,100 fans and selling out the venue—a milestone achievement for the band.
They have since been chosen as opening acts for major festivals including LIVE the SPEEDSTAR and the Hyakumangoku Music Festival 2023, Million Rock Festival, steadily building momentum as one of Japan’s most promising new rock bands. With their dynamic sound and undeniable energy, Maverick Mom is a band poised for even greater breakthroughs on the national stage and beyond.
